Norths Pirates teams play under the Pathway system in the following Age Groups:
Under 6 and Under 7 - Walla Rugby
Under 8 and Under 9 - Mini Rugby
Under 10 and Under 11 - Midi Rugby
Under 12 through Under 16 - Under 19 Rules
Players play in the age group that matches the age they turn during the year. For example, if they turn 9 during the year they will play in the Under 9 team.
Players in the Minis age groups are not required to provide proof of birth.
All new Pirates players (Under 10 up) are required to provide identification in the form of a birth certificate or passport which must be sighted by the Club Registrar. The recommendation is to include a photocopy of either of the above with your registration forms.
Players will also be required to provide a current head and shoulders photograph in electronic format (ie a jpg of no larger than 200k) which must be emailed to the Club Registrar on email@example.com. The photo should include the last name of the player as well as the age group ie LucasU11.jpg.
Please do not send files larger than 200k – they will be rejected and the registrar’s download limit will be exceeded!! Most photo management programs have an option to save a photo for web, so please use this option.
A plastic ID card (like a credit card) is produced by the Sydney Junior Rugby Union using the suppled photo and is held by the team manager. The ID cards are required (by competition law) to be available at all games and the team manager is responsible for ensuring that the club is compliant with this law.
